Wind blows against Liberal government at Town Hall meeting

Nearly 300 people turned out to a public town hall meeting to discuss energy policy and the proliferation of industrial wind turbines. Held yesterday at the Elma Memorial Community Centre in Atwood, the meeting attracted concerned citizens from communities across Perth-Wellington.

Open Letter to the Minister of Environment

On December 8, 2011 the McGuinty government approved the Conestogo Wind project in the Township of Mapleton without warning to local municipalities. The deadline for appealing the decision was December 23. Randy Pettapiece wrote to the Minister of Environment to demand an extension of the deadline.
